Are you a Mental Health Professional?

Does your Catholic faith inform your view of the human person and your practice? Do you want to build community with other Catholic therapists in Idaho? Welcome to the Idaho Association of Catholic Mental Health Professionals.

What we offer

Our Vision

To create professional community among Catholic Mental Health Professionals in Idaho, to help potential clients find faithfully Catholic providers, and to provide scholarships for Catholic graduate students seeking to enter mental health fields.

  • Professional connections/community. Quarterly gatherings provide relevant speakers, professional education, social time, and opportunities for peer consultation and support.
  • Referrals: Our website CatholicTherapistsIdaho.org is a central place where people can come to find faithfully Catholic mental health providers. For those who participate, this website will have your picture, a brief bio, contact info, and links to therapists’ professional websites.
  • Scholarships for Catholic mental health providers in training.

Membership

Association membership is offered to the following licensed Catholic Mental health professionals in Idaho: professional counselors (LPC/LCPC), social workers (MSW/LCSW), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), psychologists (PhD and PsyD), psychiatrists (MD), psychiatric nurse practitioners (PNP) as well as those in graduate school pursuing licensure in these fields.

Association Dues:

  • $60 per year
  • $120 per year for those who wish to have their bio on the referral website

Dues are tax-deductible as a professional expense and receipts will be provided. We are also a 501c3 charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Dues collected fund the following:

  • Expenses related to quarterly association events.
  • Development and monthly maintenance/upkeep of the website.
  • Marketing (i.e., ads in parish bulletins directing people to the association website).
  • Grad student scholarships.
